The Star in Lingfield signals that the 'summer
season' is drawing to a close, which is a bit of a shame. This year the date was
altered to tie in with changes to the Reigate Tunnel event. The weather
at this time of year can be iffy, but this year it was on our side. The
sky was blue with shades of grey, the sun did shine but a jacket helped.
The turnout was some 16 proper vehicles and some moderns. An interesting
Holden car was brought by serial ex-member Leo Smith who threatens to rejoin,
as he does annually!
