THE LONDON TO BRIGHTON VETERAN CAR RUN
Veteran Car Club:  VCC,  :  Royal Automobile Club:  RAC,
Bonhams, Goose, Lange, Gatwick Airport, Harrods, Movember
Abels, Brighton & Hove Council, Hagerty, CARS,  Honda, RAC Services

Weather on the 2019 Run was quite reasonable and our intrepid snapper Tony Oakes was again at his usual post on the hill out of Redhill, near the Scout food tent! The programme catalogue suggests that some 400 cars took part and that the start within London had to be split this year into two routes to ease congestion and improve the flow of the run. This is why some cars carry blue entry numbers and some orange. Below is a selection of photos taken by Tony.
Photos are in Start Number order, oldest first. The 'mustache' logos on many cars are in support of the men’s health charity, the Movember Foundation.

Following the fatality to one of the participants couple of years ago seemingly due to change of route, there was also one fatality this year also apparently connected with the routing. It would be a great shame if any restrictions were imposed on the Run due to these sad events. Perhaps better signage, more Police and more Stewards would improve the situation, and/or specific routing for the Veterans outside normal traffic?
